Cecilie Fang is an anti-disciplinary artist from China and Denmark, based in Amsterdam. Generated through writing, her process-oriented work unfolds across performance, publication, material micro-performativity, and installation.

Her practice is a continuous situated research—working through and with language. Raised between Mandarin, English, and Danish, she meditates on translation, language access, and how words are charged with history. Her work attends to how language circulates and is governed through relations of dominance— across market forces, state governance, and Empire. Through speculative modes of languaging, she examines how meaning is produced, how it fails, and under whose terms.
