Cecilie Fang is an anti-disciplinary artist from China and Denmark, based in Amsterdam. Generated through writing, her process-oriented work unfolds across performance, publication, material micro-performativity, and installation.

Her practice is a continuous situated research—working through and with language. Raised between Mandarin, English, and Danish, she attends to how language circulates alongside commodities, bodies, and forms of governance, and how words themselves become archives of historical movement. More broadly, she explores how meaning is produced and governed through relations of market, state, and Empire—and whose language these systems fail to recognize.
