Soniferous Garden

Soniferous Garden is an interactive site-specific installation stimulated by the natural environment. The installation consists of visuals co-created with the moisture and sound of its environment. According to composer R. Murray Schafer, a soniferous garden is a place of retreat from today’s overabundance of acoustic information. Soniferous Garden is therefore a performing environment that creates a lo-fi site for listening and encountering the landscape, while openly questioning the interaction of technology within natural environments.
